There are many ways to make a difference in someone’s life by supporting Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. Find your best way to bring the Caring tradition to life for someone in need.
The Women’s Committee A sisterhood of care
The Women’s Committee of Martha Jefferson Hospital raises thousands of dollars annually to advance the health and wellbeing of women in our community. They make possible programs and services to ensure no woman ever walks alone through the hard road of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
Impact
Through annual fundraising events including In The Pink Tennis and Pickleball and the beloved Martha’s Market, The Women’s Committee has raised nearly $6 million over the past 30 years to fight breast cancer and benefit women’s health at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. From free breast health screening days serving 200 women annually to wigs, scarves and educational resources to help women on their cancer journey, TWC-funded programs are a lifeline for women and families during some of the toughest moments of their lives.
