Habitat for Humanity of Charlottesville December 12, 2023

Recognizing that safe, decent, affordable housing is fundamental to a healthy life, Sentara Health proudly partners with Habitat for Humanity of Charlottesville to provide housing for more than 200 families by redeveloping the Southwood Mobile Home Park site in Charlottesville.

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital team members volunteer their time to support the project, and Sentara Health has proudly invested more than $300,000 over the past three years to clean up imminent health threats and most recently, to help families transition into rental and ownership opportunities in redeveloped Southwood and elsewhere.

Watch the video to learn more about how the collaboration between Sentara Health and Habitat for Humanity is transforming lives and improving health in our community.
