In the Pink
Have Fun and Play With a Purpose!
How to participate
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just dusting off your paddle, everyone’s welcome. Bring your friends, bring the whole family (even just to cheer!), and take to the courts in pink to support vital breast cancer services for women in our community.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
You can participate by playing tennis or pickleball at one of the In The Pink venues; if you’d rather not play, you can make a direct donation in support of ITP. Events are held at nine venues across Charlottesville.

HOW CAN I REGISTER?
Register online!
After signing up, you’ll get a confirmation email (check your spam filter). Within a week or two of the event, you’ll get information from the folks at your respective venue with an arrival time and any details of play that you need to know.
HOW DO I PLAY?
Every venue runs a little differently, but most use a round-robin format. You’ll stick with the same partner while rotating opponents throughout the event. Junior's In Pink will be played as "live ball games". Expect plenty of play, friendly company, and light refreshments along the way.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Pink is the name of the game!
Wearing pink is totally optional but highly encouraged. The bolder, brighter, and more fabulous, the better. Bonus: we award prizes for “Most Pink!”
CAN I FORM A TEAM?
Absolutely!
Whether you team up with your mom, your bestie, or even your grandpa, playing with people you love makes the day even more special. Want to join solo? We’ll help you get matched with a great partner, no worries!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS?
Depending on the severity of inclement weather, play may be suspended or canceled at all sites, including indoor courts. Players will be notified by email in advance if we determine that canceling or suspending is the best option for their safety. Every effort will be made to hold this charity event as planned for the dates scheduled for all sites
