Campus Gardens & Walking Trails
A hospital in a park
Recognizing that few things are deeper and more healing than our connection to the natural world, the hospital's stunning 56-acre campus offers gardens, walking trails, and gorgeous flowering trees outside patient windows. We invite patients, family members, and our broader community to explore our gardens and healing spaces, and draw on our landscape as a resource for rest and reflection.
Community support through the Martha Jefferson Hospital Foundation supports the ongoing care and maintenance of the trail system, including a commemorative grove with trees planted by staff and community members in honor and memory of loved ones.
